Natural jewel Kaiblingalm

Hauser Kaibling

A marvellous mountain backdrop and great views to the Dachstein – the Kaiblingalm is probably one of the most beautiful spots of all Styrian ski resorts. Easy to reach by the Alm 6er chairlift, one of Austria’s most modern and comfortable chairlifts: it is detachable, equipped with orange protection covers (“bubbles”), and has heated leather seats. Its base station is at 1,600 m, taking you up to an elevation of 1,950 m.

The home of great cross-country skiers Walter Mayer and Alois Stadlober provides 200 kms of perfectly groomed loipes within the Alliance - for skaters and classic.

We are "the" meeting place for locals and visitors! Visit us in Gastein on the Stubnerkogel in our rustic ski lodge Young parlor. Enjoy the great panoramic view of the sun terrace and let yourself be pampered by our service team, with delicacies from our cuisine and fine wines from Austria.

Who is looking for fun and humor is in our heated outdoor bar right place for sun and snow. Young office – where the sun is always shining!

Speed skiing

SPEED SKIING

• for all those speed freaks who want to know how close they can get to the speeds reached by professional downhill skiers (140 km/h) or to the World Ski Speed Record (248 km/h) – we can tell you this much though – 80 km/h is pretty hairy!

• permanent speed course on the Powder Shuttle piste

• a 300 m speed decent from the top to the finish line

• it can be reached from all mountain lift stations “on top” of Shuttleberg Mountain:from the Kleinarl side with the Bubble Shuttle or via the Schüttlealm lift and the Fürstwand lift; or from the Flachauwinkl side via the Powder Shuttle

• it’s situated just after the flat approach piste, past "lil" Stash, on the left hand-side of the piste before the piste gets steep – distinctive yellow start house: carving and speed skiing

• no extra fee – included on your ski pass

• the course can be rented hourly for competitions

• speed skiing competition every Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon. Simply come along, take part and win great prizes.

What does the "G" in G-Link stand for?
Simple and straightforward in name. Breathtaking and unique in project.
In 2013, the Grießenkareck and Grafenberg ski mountains were connected by a cable car spanning the valley above the village of Wagrain.

The bottom station of the G-Link aerial tramway is located at 1,233 m at the middle station of the Flying Mozart cable car and the top station on the Grafenberg at 1,240 m, resulting in a "sensational" difference in altitude of seven metres, which is mastered in an approximately six-minute ride.

Due to the gigantic free span of over two kilometres, a rope sag of up to 150 metres can be expected with a full cabin. The maximum ground clearance is approx. 232 metres.

Sensational with a unique view.

The Restaurant “Zum Holzwurm” was opened in 1988 by Brunhilde and Willi Gappmaier and is a culinary fixture in the region around Flachau. In summer our cosy terrace entices guests to dine, celebrate and enjoy each other’s company. There’s a great children’s playground in front of our restaurant in Flachau. In winter skiers pop in for breakfast – as the restaurant is situated right on the slopes of the Snow Space Salzburg in Ski amadé.
