Climbing steep ascents and covering long distances with ease – to make that possible, people like to ride e-bikes on the Hochkönig. The region in Salzburg is well-known and popular for its E-MTB tours in a stunning mountain scenery.
Well-deserved breaks should be spent at the many rustic and cosy huts along the trails. Groups of bikers of all ages can savour tasty meals while they recharge their bikes’ batteries at the charging stations.
The Grossarltal is known for its large number of managed alpine huts, which have earned it the name "Valley of the Alms". Mountain bikers can expect a total of 160 km and 14,000 meters of altitude.
Smart bikers ride “with a tailwind” – they borrow the latest generation of e-mountain bikes on site. After arriving at the alpine pasture, sporty bikers can still set their sights on one or the other summit on foot. The summit victory is followed by a cozy alpine snack and then an enjoyable descent into the valley.
Tip: 9 guided bike tours a week. New since summer 2020: Bike swing into the Gastein Valley via Kreuzkogel and Fulseck from Grossarl to Dorfgastein, then return and descent on the Grossarl side via the Grossarltal single trail, which is around 10 km long.
