Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week from 14th to 21st of March, 2026

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Karbachalm some special highlights. 

The EASY-PARK (Skifreizeitpark) at Übungslift lake - a truly ingenious device for children and adolescents.
Here, the kids can try on the jumps, Slide Blatten, Rainbows etc. in various acrobatic exercises.

Snowshoe trail Dorfgastein between Grossarl and Dorfgastein

Ascent with the new Kieserlbahn to the mountain station at 1,954 metres. Once at the top, the first refreshment stop is the new WOLKE 7 summit restaurant with 360° panoramic terrace. The Snowshoe trail Dorfgastein leads to the Arltörl 1,797 m and on via the Heumoosalm (not serviced) to the middle station of the Fulseck summit lift. Take the cable car back up to the mountain station. Once at the top, the Hauserbauer Gipfelstadl invites you to take a cosy break. Take the winter hiking trail back to the Kieserlbahn mountain station.

The Hotel Pariente is located directly on the piste in the Hochwurzen ski area and is therefore the ideal stopover for skiers to rest and recharge their batteries in our restaurant with sun terrace. Unbuckle your skis on our doorstep and enjoy the benefits of our à la carte restaurant. We score with seasonal and regional dishes. 

The Gehwolfalm awaits you with cozy hospitality and regional delicacies.

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Gehwolf Alm some special highlights. 

Knirschender Schnee, jungfräuliche Pisten, die Lifte (fast) für dich alleine und ein perfektes Frühstück in einer der schönsten Hütten der Region Hochkönig. Das alles und noch mehr erlebt man beim Hochkönig Early Morning Skiing in Mühlbach am Hochkönig.

Beim Hochkönig Early Morning Skiing heißt es schon etwas zeitiger aufstehen. Treffpunkt ist um 07:15 Uhr bei der Kabinenbahn Karbachalm in Mühlbach mit anschließendem Skigenuss auf den Pisten rund um den Schneeberg. Gefahren wird in 3 Gruppen (pro, intermediate und chill), welche von der Geschäftsführung und Betriebsleitung der Hochkönig Bergbahnen begleitet werden. 25 Personen haben mittwochs (03.02., 10.02., 17.02., 24.02., 02.03. und 09.03.2016) die Möglichkeit ihre Schwünge in die unberührten Pisten am Hochkönig zu ziehen.

Im Preis von € 48,-- ist neben den Insider-Tipps der Bergbahnen ein Frühstück, serviert ab ca. 09:30 Uhr im Bergrestaurant Karbachalm, inkludiert.

Anmeldung und Information: Voraussetzung: skifahrerisches Können für (zumindest) rote Pisten und EIN GÜLTIGER SKIPASS. Limitierte Teilnehmerzahl, daher rechtzeitige Anmeldung erforderlich (wochentags 08:00 bis 12:00 Uhr im Büro der Hochkönig Bergbahnen, oder per Mail an office@hochkoenig-bergbahnen.at).

Die urige Garnhofhütte liegt auf 1350 m direkt im Herzen von Zauchensee. Als eine der ersten Almhütten steht Sie seit über 200 Jahren mitten in unserem schönen Skigebiet.
