Freeride Eldorado

In Gastein, freeriders will find the highest area in the Ski amadé network. More and more people are drawn to Gastein for powder skiing. The countless variations as well as the official ski routes make freeriders' hearts beat faster.

Adrenaline junkies looking for challenges and who love deep powder skiing are in exactly the right place at the highest ski area in the region. In both powder and spring snow, you can venture off the slopes and start your skiing adventure in the freeride area. But the prepared slopes also have a lot to offer. In addition, there is a fantastic mountain panorama to admire.

Sportgastein

Ski route 1 – Golden Powder

The Golden Powder ski route is the longest route with a length of 5 km and a height difference of 664 meters in the ski area of Sportgastein. The start of the ski route is directly below the top station of the Goldbergbahn.

At the end of the route you can connect directly to the next ski route, the Golden Rush, so you can freeride right down to the valley.

Ski route 2 – Golden Rush

The Golden Rush Route starts directly after the Golden Powder Route and has a length of approx. 2 km and 389 metres in altitude.

The middle part of the ski route is quite steep and therefore suitable for experienced freeriders. The Golden Rush runs to the bottom station of the Goldbergbahn.
 

Sportgastein

Ski route 3 – Golden Ride

The Golden Ride ski route starts directly at the Kreuzkogel T-bar lift at the bottom station. The ski route has a length of 666 metres with an altitude difference of 176 metres.

The Golden Rush is the shortest and thus the most suited ski route for beginner freeriders.
 

Schlossalm

Ski route – Katstall

The Katstall ski route on the Schlossalm leads from the Kaserebenbahn top station to the Angertal ski centre.

Depending on the snow and weather situation, winter sports enthusiasts will have access to a powder run or mogul slope with a length of 1.3 kilometres.
 

Graukogel

Ski route – Graukogel

The Graukogel ski route is a difficult steep route and runs from the top station of the Graukogel cable car past a junction with the B3 down to the middle station.
