Since the 2019/20 winter season, the new 10-seater Gabühel gondola lift has improved the connection from Dienten up to Gabühel. It replaces the outdated Gabühel 2-seater chairlift. The route of the new Gabühel lift is longer and the mountain and valley stations are new and better positioned.
The valley station of the new Gabühelbahn is located next to the Dienten ski centre, now to the east of the main road. This eliminates the need for two-way traffic on the ski bridge. The mountain station is also in a new location. It is now located next to the Steinbockalm. The 10-seater gondola lift with its new route was built over two summers.
