You have to take into consideration such things as avalanche alert levels, exposure, slope gradient, snow cover, and emergency equipment. In classic ski areas, information for freeriders is in short supply. Not so in the Hochkönig ski region.

Find out about the most popular freeride routes on the mountain and the up-to-date avalanche risk at the freeride info point at the summit station of the Aberg gondola. With the help of the built-in avalanche beacon checker, you can make sure that your avalanche transceiver is working. Safety is thus guaranteed while you are out and about.

Directly on the piste and in the centre of Maria Alm, almost 1,400 ski guests can store their winter sports equipment safely and dryly at the valley station of the Natrun 10-seater gondola lift. Depending on the number of people, you can choose between a locker for 2 or 4 people. Bookings are made at the Natrunbahn ticket office and the existing ski pass is used as the access system.

The trail stretches over 300 metres in altitude and different terrain from the top station of the Natrun cable car (free bike transport) to the valley, pure riding fun. The flow trail is ideal for beginners and families as well as for single-trail experts.
