From 09th to 16th March, 2024 you can enjoy the most delicious farmer's doughnuts of all times at the Wastlalm. These can of course be enjoyed sweet or savoury!

The Dachstein seems close enough to touch! The Kessleralm is the only hut right in the heart of the Planai (valley station Lärchkogel middle station cable car), all large slopes lead to the hut, it is therefore ideal as a meeting point. Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week at the Karbachalm – pleasure meets skiing fun

In the Hochkönig region, the Ski and Wine Enjoyment Week from 17 to 22 March invites you to enjoy special culinary experiences. Skiing fun is combined with fine food and exquisite wines.

Kick-off on 16th March 2025 with the ski hut roas and the Highest Farmers' Market in the Alps in Ski amadé
The event kicks off with the ski hut roas and the Highest Farmers' Market in the Alps. Regional delicacies such as meat doughnuts and lamb roasts are served at the Karbachalm, accompanied by the Gastein Perchtenmusi. Perfect opportunities to combine enjoyment and winter sports.

Culinary highlights at the Karbachalm from 17.03. – 22.03.2025
During the enjoyment week, the Karbachalm team conjures up an exclusive menu that leaves nothing to be desired:

► Parmesan foam soup with prosciutto crostini
► A dozen prawns in tomato butter with fresh, crispy root bread
► Two kinds of Hüttau Wagyu beef on cream polenta and stewed tomatoes

Top wines from Austria
A special highlight is the wine tasting with the Gemeiner winery from Purbach am Neusiedlersee. The focus here is on exquisite Austrian wines that harmonise perfectly with the dishes and round off the moment of pleasure. 

The Ski and Wine Enjoyment week at the Karbachalm offers a perfect combination of skiing, regional cuisine and top local wines. A winter experience for all the senses!

At the Gamskogel II mountain station at 2,106 metres, you are right in front of the impressively steep start slope of the Zauchensee World Cup course. The mascot ‘Zauchi’ is a popular photo motif, and with the photo point you can capture your holiday memories without anyone being missing from the picture! For lovers, there is a ‘love heart’ where you can immortalise yourself with a ‘love lock’. You will also find the Gamskogel checkpoint for the ‘12 Peaks Trophy’ here.

The Bistro Inferno you will find at the valley station of the Kieserlbahn Grossarltal.
